This is a one of a kind painting which is done on gallery wrapped canvas, with no need for framing, as the edges are painted. The painting has the repeated lines "it hurts" written on it. In the last row they are scratched on putty. The painting is from a therapeutic series for me called "(NOT) call a spade a spade". Through these artworks, I want to talk about how important it is for self-development to admit that you, for example, have been betrayed, that you are depressed, that you are lonely. Be honest with yourself. To move on with your life, you need to have the courage to call a spade a spade. This artwork participated in a personal exhibition in Kiev.

Ukraine
I was born in 1995 in Dnipro. Currently I live and work in Kyiv. I create paintings with oil and other mediums. My artworks are a way of social expression. I explore the themes of Mental health, Feminism and Humanism through them. Currently, the main topic of research is the experience of collective trauma of Ukrainians as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war. I strive to raise acute social issues in my artworks that would resonate in people's minds.
