ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This painting is acrylic on canvas. The inspiration for all of my paintings are my two children. My youngest tragically passed away in 2017 and I discovered my talent for abstract painting while looking for a new hobby to occupy my time. I find that my mind is more at peace when I am painting. As a result, I always put the initials of my kids in my paintings, usually small but always hidden. I usually put a small circle on the back of the canvas in pencil to indicate where the initials are. My children's initials are TB and CB. The painting is named after my youngest sons favorite episode of The Office. I introduced him to the show and I have good memories of watching the show with him. This painting is one of the first I made in this style. I tend to feel too constrained by the format of paintings like this and enjoy doing less structured paintings more. I hope that my paintings remind you of the good times in life. My artistic background is as a photographer of sports and nature.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

I was inspired to start painting in my late 50's after my youngest son died unexpectedly. I find that painting allows me to get out of my head, so to speak, and focus completely on what I am doing. My painting style is abstract with lots of color. I use any object that facilitates my creativity when painting including brushes, knives, sponges and scrapers, among other things. When I am not painting, I am riding my bike or working on my photography and videography. My artistic background before painting was as a professional photographer of sports and nature. My photography work is widely published under various corporate names and has previously been featured in a local art gallery. I currently live in Jacksonville, Florida. I paint for life, for a living I am a computer programmer.
