ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The Three Graces have been the subject of a stream of art that goes back to ancient Mesopotamia. They were painted and sculpted by the Greeks and Romans, and by many artist up to the present time. For me it is a pleasure to contribute to this succession of meaningful art. They represent charm, beauty, creativity and other excellent ideals. Eternal qualities that enchant us and motivate us to try to be our best version of self.. Acrylic paint on wrapped canvas, requires no frame. The colors are rich, brilliant but restrained, soft on the eye. Blue, orange, violet, pale gray There is a net, a network of pale lines crisscrossing the canvas. The outer edges, surrounding the colorful figures, depict radiating crystals. I hope that this picture will enrich you each time you look at the beauty.

I live in the deep country of Washington Parish Louisiana where I have a beautiful studio. Our property is on a creek and we have some land on a hill. Nature is a jungle jumble here, sooo beautiful. It satisfies my deep need to commune with Mother Earth. As a child I grew up as an Air Force brat, moving about and experiencing diverse cultures. " I've been everywhere, Man." (Willie Nelson) "Daddy always kept moving so she did too." (Neil Young) North, south, east and west. Paris, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Central America. Where ever I have been I have savored the various local arts. When I was six years old the Air Force moved us to Japan. You might call it culture shock, my young mind expanded when I experienced art and culture so different from the USA. I paint or photoshop almost everyday and have done so for many decades. Nature and creating art are necessary for my peace of mind. Art is a path to explore my own mind and to connect with others on a deep level. I follow my muse, choosing from a multitude of different byways that beacon to me. Maybe you will see where my imagination flows. Maybe our minds will meet. I garden organic veggies and flowers. This is creative and at my age I need the motivation of gardening exercise to keep my joints oiled. I am married to a wonderful man, I am a Mom and Grandmother, and Great Aunt. We have loving get togethers for holidays.
