ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Three ladies I let my imagination run a little with this painting, I knew I wanted to paint something with sexy ladies and lots of bright colours so I just started working and let the idea take its form I really love the result and want it to tell its now story. My latest review September 2020 Being greedy, this is our third painting from Ta and possibly my favourite... difficult to tell as though each brings so much pleasure and they're really incomparable. Never tire looking at them and would have a "Ta" in every room if I could!! Thank you Ta, we're so lucky to have stumbled across you - will send you a photo of the picture in situ soon! :) I don't live in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dubai, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hamburg, Hong Kong, London, Monaco, Monte Carlo, Malibu Beach, New York, Nice, Paris, Rome Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, Zurich, or Taiwan. Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings . are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today. Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
