Chrispus Nyaanga born 2001 is a visual artist based in Nairobi,his practice mostly tries to simplyfy the complexities of life and understanding the meaning of self together with the influences around and the connections involved. His artistic vision is shaped by his childhood, navigating the geographical setting of Nairobi mukura kwa njenga informal settlements which remains central in his work focusing on the architectural structure as well as the culture. He uses acrylic and collage in his works with a very sharp color pallet and informative cut outs with words that represent the internal conversations we have with ourselves. He has been part of a residence project at st Andrew's Turi. He has conducted a solo exhibition at Mombasa art gallery -Breaking expectations . Group shows include don't be squared -Akka project, Italy, pop up shows at Nord Heinz west falen, Germany, open studio,USA, National museum of Kenya,international school of kenya,mukuru art collective, banana hill art gallery .
