Sammy was born in Marrakech, Morocco Naturally,grow up in USA. his inspiration comes from the colorful surroundings he was exposed to since early childhood. Playing in streets and watching local folk performers in the City Centre "Jemaa-El-Fnaa" helped paint the background to his vibrant and colorful palette in his art. Sammy's work is intimate and personal, touching your inner feelings while taking you on a journey that only you and the artist can connect with. What started as simple doodling on a piece of paper, has evolved into intricate pieces of art. Without any formal training, Sammy has been able to work with different media types, ranging from pencil, to pastels, paint, collage, stencils and pretty much anything that can be put on a canvas and made into a work of art. His pieces are unique and stunning. Some of the work reads happy and some sad. Sammy's inspiration comes from various sources, Picasso, Matisse, Seurat, Pollock to name a few.
