ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is part of my color study series of six, featuring the energetic aspect of each hue. Violet is the color of the highest chakra, of wisdom and transcendence. The abstracted owl is a symbol of the Roman goddess Minerva, and lightning represents the bolt of awakening. I never met my great aunt Minerva, but I felt connected to her as she was the only other artist in my family.
