'To Thine Own Self Be True' is a unique and beautiful painting. It is medium-sized painting on canvas measuring 16 inches by 20 inches. The subject matter of the painting is a single red flower. At the top of the painting is an elaborate and alluring mehndi (henna) design. The bottom of the painting is embellished with stunning fabric appliques. On the bottom-right of the painting are the words 'To Thine Own Self Be True' - which have special meaning to me, the artist, as well as so many people. A simple and concise statement that has so much power to it and one that we all need to remember when we begin to doubt our unique and special mission and passion in life. The painting is then embellished further with beautiful jewels. This is an absolute favorite of mine. Not just because of the painting itself, but because it seems just seems to 'fit' with the interior design of my house wherever I hang it. It is framed and ready-to-hang, bringing the final dimensions to 18.25" x 22.25" x 1.25".
