These blue and green tones are full and rich, while still expressing a sense of peace and inner calm. It's entitled Tomorrow. To my eye it's the reflection of an impermanent state - and the hint of new beginnings. *This is on a cradled wood panel and is 1.5 inches deep.

A modern American artist, Georgia Gibbs’ colorful abstracts are strongly inspired by the landscape and inland coastal area of California. Her works can be monochromatic and still with the weight of dense fog or colorful and alive like a hot summer afternoon. The viewer is teased by a sense of the familiar and responds to an emotional nuance, always present in the base notes. Recently she has embraced an additional medium. Using image captures of her garden and the natural world close at hand she has begun to compose eco-portraits. This developing series shows a world undressed, yet not unadorned and invites the viewer to into an intimate relationship with the world underfoot.
