ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired in the top view of one of the buildings for an exhibition that we were designing. I took a photograph of the screen and then painstakingly translated the geometry of the shapes onto the painting which was created in acrylic onto hardboard using the technique of masking the areas to protect with tape. The colours are overlapping and have depth. I tried to create the painting with flat colours but at the end there is texture and differences in the tones which make the artwork more interesting to look at.
