Touch of the wind, 2023. Oil painting on paper for oil, 29.8 cm x 21 cm x 0.1 cm. Unframed. This atmospheric etude was done on a very controversial, sunny but windy plein air day on the lovely Mt Maunganui beach, New Zealand. The wind was so extreme and the waves were so dramatic that I was thrilled to capture all raging energy in this art piece so it can breathe solty and powerfully on its own.
