Traditional Bazaar of ancient Iran Print

I was inspired by a story of an Iranian historical series from the Qajar period for this artwork. My goal was to portray a sense of nostalgia for a challenging period in Iran's history by painting an old market. I hope that viewers can relate to the feelings of that past era, as in this image, the bird's eye view of that era gives us a sense of our present for that era. I chose to create this piece using watercolor on cardboard, a medium that allowed me to capture the scene's essence. The subject, an old bazaar, intrigued me because of its historical significance and sentimentality. As for the style, I wanted to give viewers a glimpse into the past and make it more accessible and relatable. This work was originally framed with Passepartout in Iran. But due to immigration, I could not bring all the frames. As a result, this piece is currently offered without a frame or passepartout.
