About The Artwork
This is part of the "Wild" series, inspired by native plants and wild flowers. It measures 182 x 182 cm unstretched - so the painting will wrap around the stretcher creating a neat edge. The final stretched size will be 170 x 170cm.x 3.5cm This restful abstract artwork is a beautiful combination of a neutral beige, grey, cream and off white with shades of pink, blush, fuchsia, magenta, dusty pink and greens. This artwork is inspired by wild grass and soft landscapes. The acrylic paint has been used like water colours to create a Impressionist landscape. An oak frame would be an elegant option if you were to consider framing. Commission an artwork in size or colour combination to suit your interior. The acrylic paint has been layered in washes of color and charcoal has been used to add detail. The painting will wrap around the edge of the canvas stretcher if it is stretched - there is a 2.4inch or 6cm allowance for stretching/framing. Signed on the front and back of the painting. I paint, I create and make things that make me happy. Sounds simple enough... but maybe that's what it should be. I was born in Ireland, grew up in Zimbabwe and have lived in the UK,USA and Australia. Meeting new people and exploring where I live inspires much of my work. I create in a medium appropriate to the inspiration. My artwork finds expression in oils, acrylics, charcoal, mixed media and glass. I use print making, stenciling, texture, fabric and transfers to create multi-layered tactile pieces. You will find my unique artwork in offices, hotels, homes, bars and restaurants in Australia, Europe, USA, Canada, China, Singapore and Southern Africa. I have 14 years of experience consulting on various international projects where the work was created to specification as the majority of the projects required custom made artwork. I understand how to evaluate and select materials that align with aesthetics, compliance and individual needs. I am very comfortable with collaborating on a brief and love the cross pollination of ideas that result from co-designing art work.
