Khalid, a Graduate of the Pratt Institute School of Architecture, has worked for various prestigious firms. Reiser+Umemoto Architects, as well as Eisenman Architects (both of whom were finalists at the World Trade Center competition in New York) served as a rich intellectual and theoretical grounding to start his own career. His stint at the Rockwell Group provided him with knowledge surrounding the high-end commercial realm. His work experience has included projects such as a theatre competition in Greece, children's museum competition in Pittsburgh, competition work for the Leipzig 2012 Olympic Village, and a new Cirque du Soleil mega-plex project once slated for lower Manhattan. His construction projects have included various residences, Santiago Spain's "City of Culture" mega-plex, the new Nobu restaurant in Dallas.
