Transparencies. A look, a mouth perhaps, and above all a way of being, of thinking. These superimpositions where clues and landscapes build an atmosphere, a game between the outside and the inside of the being he wants to include the spectator he wants to call him with his attentive look to read and inlay, more than a portrait a singular mentality that would be emanating in each piece.

José Sales Albella France Born: 1964 José Sales Albella is a Spanish painter born in 1964, living and working in Montpellier in the south of France. Self-taught and practicing painting in a very intuitive way, his entry as an assistant at the Fine Arts of Montpellier in 1992 upset his work to the point of being questioned to some extent. José Sales Albella proposes an oil painting, figurative that he deploys according to various themes declined in series. There are in his canvases scholarly winks to the secular culture in which the artist is immersed. His compositions propose almost classical figures that he places in a quirky environment, mixing eras, strange and even dreamlike settings, always colourful and luminous. José Sales Albella's touch is expressive, shimmering and always singular, giving us, without make-up, the artist's teeming inner world.
