Brooding dark and thunderous clouds move over for the striking light that brings warmth to the caramel colours of this absorbing acrylic landscape by Jack. Layers of Jack’s notable self reflection and symbolism, there isn’t an element that hasn’t earned its place in this vast landscape, pregnant with meaning. Speaking about this painting Jack said :’ I set out to use birds to symbolise that illusive of all things, trust. I wanted to demonstrate the relationship required for trust to begin to grow in. Ultimately as I worked on the piece the birds were part of a larger world, trust itself became a series of stepping stones, adventures. Trust is a learning curve for most people, in some areana or other, I think most people can relate to the moment when they feel they’ve found it, or the answer to that level, anyway!’ Jack is one of several of our ‘inner family’, beckynewellart. Living with Dissociative Identity Disorder, as a result of extreme childhood trauma, several personalities live within one body each finding talents of their own. Jack, Fi, Elby and sometimes Tom are creative. Jack’s work is particularly notable for his in-depth self reflection, unflinching honesty and quality of fine art.
