After 6 years in a row of painting mountains in 2019 I started a new series of my paintings which are inspired by the darkness and the silence of the nature that reflect themselves in me. I came to an idea of slowing down the time in my new series of landscapes. Speeding is joyful, exciting, energizing but sometimes it is necessary to stop the time or at least slowing it down; that much speed is enough, I don’t need it anymore, I want to take the opportunity to make the things clear to have an opportunity to feel the Ulterior Breeze of the Gloomy Night. In my landscapes I find my peace when I walk slowly in silent desert. At first no one was there, nothing was there, just me, desert, sky and sometimes feeling of a slow breeze that was touching my skin. But as I went forward and painting after painting I discovered some figures and abandoned places and found some changes in my landscapes and places I didn't know before and I'm continuing to discover more. In these series I use small sizes and acrylic color which dries fast in order to finish the painting in a few hours or days cause when I feel a place and imagining it in my mind I’m eager to paint it as fast as I can to not to forget the details and feelings of the imagine I have in my mind and to share this moment with the others. Why I paint mostly mountains? I was born in Tehran, a mega city with millions of inhabitants so I tried to find a peaceful, tranquil corner for just myself in my paintings but as I moved to Kerman, then Yerevan and after that to Milan cities with much less people, more tranquil and less chaotic atmosphere slowly and unconsciously started to make balance between tranquility, peace, my comfort zone and to go and discover new feelings new places and to dig inside my mind so my paintings changed with me.
