About The Artwork
This restful abstract landscape depicts a Banksia grove at the base of a steep rocky cliff The muted tones offset the gold leaf and the striking combination of a neutral beige, cream and off white with shades of deep brown and charcoal black will suit most interiors. The gold leaf is sealed, and will change in colour depending on the viewing angle. There is added tactile interest with a soft paper collage. This large artwork ships in a roll. The full un-stretched dimensions are 104 x 71.5 inches (264 x 182cm) and the full un-cropped image is the first image on the image carousel. The framed image shows the artwork cropped to 98.5 x 67 inches (250 x 170cm) - which allows a 2 and 1/2 inch (6cm) border for easy stretching or framing. I paint, I create and make things that make me happy. Sounds simple enough... but maybe that's what it should be. I was born in Ireland, grew up in Zimbabwe and have lived in the UK,USA and Australia. Meeting new people and exploring where I live inspires much of my work. I create in a medium appropriate to the inspiration. My artwork finds expression in oils, acrylics, charcoal, mixed media and glass. I use print making, stenciling, texture, fabric and transfers to create multi-layered tactile pieces. You will find my unique artwork in offices, hotels, homes, bars and restaurants in Australia, Europe, USA, Canada, China, Singapore and Southern Africa. I have 14 years of experience consulting on various international projects where the work was created to specification as the majority of the projects required custom made artwork. I understand how to evaluate and select materials that align with aesthetics, compliance and individual needs. I am very comfortable with collaborating on a brief and love the cross pollination of ideas that result from co-designing art work.
