In this image, there is a re-occuring hexagonal pattern that varies in visibility and intensity depending on the perceived lighting. The hexagon is one of the most secure and versatile shapes that nature likes to use to its advantage. Nature is lazy and must find an easy way to keep things in order. Bees, for example, use hexagons in honey production and reproduction, is it is easy to fit many hexagons close together and be efficient with the space they have. The concept of the painting is a universal pattern, which is why hexagons are involved to symbolise not only the strength of the systems around us, but also the repetition of these patterns on a variety of scales. The lighting-like branches stemming from the hexagons portray just that. From the branches of a tree to its roots, the majority of things take this form. If this is true in this world, could it be true beyond Earth? Perhaps this idea could help us build efficient AI and even organise our economy...
