ABOUT THE ARTWORK

My paintings are the expression of the greater self within me. The totality of my being - from birth, to current day, the places, the personalities, my art, my self, Life — This image is a focused-crop from one of two paintings that were destroyed in a tragic accident. Detailed photographs & video were taken of these paintings whilst the paint curing underwent its transcendental process of ineffable genesis. What makes this first set of the collection a rarer occurrence of historical value is the fact the painting is 'still alive' when the images were recorded - I.E. within close-circles we refer to the term 'still alive' meaning the curing process hasn't started quite yet; which to those who have been witness find most intriguing about the art's detail in that specific stage - (since the effects of the drying/curing changes the look so drastically) This particular work is interestingly even more of a rarity due to the fact it is composed of residue from the leftover materials which were transferred with an unrepeatable technique applying it to a metallic surface. The excess residue was initially from another painting that preceded the creation of this one. This image is a cropped piece of a full-scale photograph taken at bird's eye view. This is one of two crops drawn from the same method of capture via camera. Foreword [written by a close friend]: Damian Christopher Kirsch once spoke the words: "My Life is Art" — and so too his life and development through the years made it possible for such uniquely powerful avant-garde expressions to be conceivable. ..As a close-friend & supporter of Damian over two decades, all I have to say is: bear witness to revolution. — My name is Damian Christopher Kirsch. I was born & raised in San Francisco, California. My paintings are the expression of the greater self within me. The totality of my being - from birth, to current day, the places, the personalities, my art, my self, Life. It's 10% what happens to you and 90% what you do with it. As I am the expression of something greater than myself, my paintings are the expression of the greater self within me. It's 10% of what I initiate and 90% what you do with it. Absolute truth lives independently not bound by laws, nature, or dimension; yet is reflected throughout. The entrance into this realm is paradox. — The paintings listed on this Artist Profile undergo many processes to complete them; which sometimes can attribute to the time it takes until one work of art is finished. It can take up to a matter of weeks and/or months depending on the detail & particular techniques used to create them or otherwise any other means to complete them. Each painting is unequivocally unique & as such is more-than-likely impossible to recreate or emulate them. — Damian Christopher Kirsch is the sole-proprietor, creator & owner of the original works of art published with this Artist Profile on — The responsibility for each listing & descriptive criteria found throughout this profile & its posts have been assigned to fellow colleague, associate, band-mate, & Close-Friend of 2-decades — A person entrusted to convey with their best effort in achieving a proper & concise description of this art, to you, the valued & appreciated viewer.
