British female artist Claire London born in Bedfordshire1974. I like to work on small runs experimenting with colour, form and texture. Most pieces are abstract working in layers on recycled woods which i then distress. I work organically on a wide range of subjects allowing myself the freedom to express in my surrounding. In the pasted i have worked on projects designing albums covers and zines for independent recorded labels using pen and ink. Some of my early works and projects looked at arts in health, one being Stem which was a true labour of love looking deep into spiritual arts In more recent years i have worked on community projects collaborating with other artists and galleries. Some of the projects i have worked on, Dunstable wind charming (Bedford Creative Arts) 2013-2017. Power in paint Luton 2019. Dunstable’s Invisible Street Art Trail 2019. Dunstable Toy Hacking 2019 During the pandemic i won a grant from Arts Council England which i used to create a book to help people cope with isolating using art techniques. In 2021 i decided to move to Cornwall and work as a full artist living by the sea in 2022 i set up studio, and in 2023 created my first years body of work focusing on pop up art shows and exhibiting in local galleries and fairs.
