As a practicing physician/surgeon. I dealt with many patients who were nervous, frightened, anxious to be seen in the office, etcetera. Many were served in a calming atmosphere by the presence of music and artistic artifacts, including those that might be related to their medical problems. Especially if the artistic pieces that were calming and humorous and created by their "doc"!
