Hello, everyone! Today, I want to share a very special piece of art. It depicts a scene featuring a squirrel that tragically passed away trapped in a Nutella jar. I mention the brand to raise awareness about the direct and indirect harm caused by many companies, including Nutella, to both exploited and wild animals. On a personal level, it's crucial to become conscious of how we manage our waste to prevent such tragic incidents. Each of us is responsible for handling our waste and the potential harm it can cause. Have you ever wondered how our actions impact animals? I invite you to reflect on this through my series of artworks titled "Are You Going to Eat It?" where I illustrate how our actions harm both wild and urban animals. 💚 If you purchase one of my artworks, 10% of the proceeds will go towards Spanish animal sanctuaries.

I feel that every day there is a growing disconnect between human beings and their own origins and environment. We are not separate from other beings and elements; we are part of a whole. My intention is to create clear messages that can be easily interpreted by viewers, to reach many people and raise greater social awareness about the importance of caring for and respecting other animals. I seek to expose how we harm animals both directly and indirectly (industries that profit at the expense of their suffering, pollution, and the extinction of wild species). Most of my works are paintings, although sometimes I feel the need to express myself through sculpture or other mediums. My language is figurative, capturing the world as I see it in my works. I paint animals, and the human being is indirectly represented through their footprint. For me, visual language is a natural form of expression. This, combined with my need to create with my own hands, has led me to practice visual arts since I was young. My work is focused on exploring the boundaries between painting and sculpture, creating pieces that merge both disciplines. They are paintings on three-dimensional supports, where space gives meaning to the works. They are no longer a two-dimensional window through which the viewer peers, but an object to explore that relates to its environment. I grew up in Valdemoro (Madrid), and I graduated in Fine Arts in 2013. I worked as a graphic designer for a few years, but my interest in art and nature led me to specialize in scientific illustration (2018). In the same year, I moved with my partner to Gijón (Asturias), where we started a family, and later began teaching workshops on painting, drawing, and art entrepreneurship. Currently, I am exclusively dedicated to my art and represented by a gallery in Asturias: Bea Villamarín. Art is a powerful tool for social transformation, and that is how I work with it.
