This is another in a series of self-discovery while working with the gorgeous remnants of vintage patterns and collage. I love the textures and richness of this one. The wrapped canvas is a luxurious almost 2 inches deep, giving the piece a substantial feel.

Kyle Hollingsworth is a multi-disciplinary creative whose expression includes fine art, illustration, singing/songwriting, public speaking, sound healing and design. Her fine art career spans three decades, and her work has been featured and exhibited from New York to Los Angeles, with collectors throughout the U.S. and abroad. Layers of paint, assemblage of collected papers, and a rich mixture of mediums all beautifully collide to create depth and energy in Kyle’s abstract work. Kyle’s paintings are intuitive, with little planning, made of gestural strokes, fine detail, mark-making and free-flowing layers of liquid inks. Many of her recent works contain layers of vintage papers, patterns, glimpses into time gone by, partnered with a contemporary palette and line. Each painting gives voice to a feeling, an experience, and opens a portal to something unknown even to her, until it’s completion. Free-form and colorful, Kyle’s work engages the viewer’s eye and mind such that new discoveries can be found in each layer and every stroke.
