ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is my interpretation of Venus (or Aphrodite) Goddess of beauty and love being born out of sea foam. The flamingo is one of the animals that had been present in Florida in the wild, but had been exterminated for its beautiful feathers in the 1800s. Now, there is a thriving population of flamingos in South Florida, although, most of them are captive. With this painting I'm trying to convey nature's beauty, fragility and resilience. 13% of the profit will be donated to support Florida wildlife.
