ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Life is short. How sad it is that life seem frozen and closure is but a fleeting apparition. Time, they say heals all wounds, but the persistence of memories seem to have locked my despoilment into a vicious loop of mental replay. The struggle to reset and reinvent is regrettably assailed by a society that thrives on repression and subjugation, to the point that empathy is replaced by a desensitized state of numbness and the malaise becomes normalized. To speak is to arouse the angst of self righteous ignoble individuals who are tasked with the guardianship of morality, but fall short because of their weakness and selfish interests. They say let the sea of time wash away the past, but for me the past, the present and the future are fused into one stream of consciousness. Only a concerted effort at closure through revisitation, resolution and retribution can assuage my situation.

Born 18th March 1971 in Benin city, Nigeria. I m married with 2 great kids and another one is on the way, hopefuly the last. Art is my calling in life and its what i do best. Ever since i was aware of myself,i always loved anything artistic and and i indulged myself in them, even though i really wasn't hoping to become a professional artist. Anyway, after a long sojourn in the science world,i finally became a professional artist and i m enjoying every moment of it.i try to embbed deep messages in my works in terms of metaphors and innuendosI ve actually realized that my pool of inspiration cannot be defined with a boundary, because i am constantly changing my perspective and i try to find the most suitable way to express my artistic opinion. And since i m primarily an experimental artist, i really can't say my restless spirit will be comfortable with working in a certain technique for very long. However, the most important thing about my work is that i believe God has a divine presence in it.
