View In My Room
This is a view from the top of the Holmenkollen ski jump tower. I did something unusual when I started this painting, which was that I did not do an underdrawing and just used my original photo as a guide. The clouds were dramatic that day, so I blended several shades to give depth and movement to the sky, and deliberately made the landscape abstract with rich, variated colors to depict the ground in view.
