I was born in Ponte San Pietro, Bergamo Italy, where I live and work, December 27th 1970. I got closer to painting thanks to Gianfranco Bonetti, a famous artist, my teacher at Bergamo high school for art in the late eighties. I'm not interested in art as an intellectual game, an end in itself or like a sterile provocation or decoration.
My research is aimed to reach a personal sinthesis of the mark of artists like Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Velasquez, Degas, Giacometti, and Francis Bacon to achieve that "clinic realism" often quoted by the great irish artist.
