ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This was inspired from a trip to Shasta in early May, trekking through the snow a mile or so past the old ski park to witness an incredible sunset. It was worth getting my shoes absolutely soaked in deep snow to capture the reference photos. The sunset was one of the most spectacular I’ve seen, as big cumulonimbus clouds rolled over Mt. Shasta and everything was aglow in the fading light.
