ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The 'Vortex' by Niko Frost is an experimental representation of perception - how colours placed in a seemingly random arrangement can be interpreted as shapes (in this case a vortex or a tunnel) by our minds. It is also an experiement to showcase colour perception - when the same colour is coupled with a different one, the effect is completely different metaphorically reminding us of the importance of context. Niko Frost has a BSc in Neuroscience and is also a music producer who is fascinated by all aspects of life - from the interaction of molecules to subjective experiences and workings of various systems. #1 of the Colours by Niko series. 60x60 cm Oil on Canvas (board), 2023.
