Wüstenwind Print

This is my favorite art piece, which was the first painting i created. Before i painted acrylic on printed photos, and exposed them in different art events in NYC. This, just as some other paintings, has been a photo printed on aluminium dibond. One day, back from my colorful journeys, i felt using this art piece to create another with it, a symbiosis of photo and paint, it got both energies. The photo underneath was taken 2007 in Harlem, NYC, a naked girl, resting on the bed with a pillow between her legs. It was part of some exhibitions in germany. Now its called "Wüstenwind", which means "desert wind". Its a metaphoric title. Feelings rush through our body like the wind, fast, powerful and effective. Not all of them are pleasant, just as anger, sorrow and loss, but important to have felt that way, to really find and know what peace and happiness are like and to appreciate those. Important is to love ourselves, overcome painful past memories and forgive ourselves and others. Just like that we can enjoy the desert wind and feel uplifted and alive. In the most painful moments we learn the most ! Learning and Loving is essential. Thank you - Danke Alexander
