Keiko Soma is a Japanese abstract artist whose paintings emerge from deep listening and transform subtle perceptions into color and form.
Born in Nara and based in Hyogo, She draws on more than thirty years of musical experience to explore how subtle perceptions and sensations can be transformed into visual form. She listens closely to the sounds of nature, the rhythms and melodies of music, moments of silence and pause, and the sounds that arise from within.
Rather than translating these experiences literally, She transforms them through her sensibility into abstract compositions of color, gesture, and spatial rhythm. Her paintings evoke stillness, vibration, and a quiet sense of presence—offering not a depiction of nature, but an encounter with its inner resonance.
Through painting, She seeks to reveal the harmony that underlies all life and to open a space in which coexistence, quiet beauty, and a reawakened sense of connection can be felt.
