Water Study 2 Print

Another study of the reflection on the water that I find even more mesmerizing than ever. I can look at these reflections for hours and still not be bored by it. I painted it from my own reference photos taken during holidays in Apulia, Italy. I like a simple, effective, straight to the point approach to my paintings, with clear lines and bright colours. I paint in a realistic way with a touch of graphic novels style. The subject is usually women, nature and wildlife. I combine different images to create a unique vision of a thought, event or feeling. I paint mostly using oil on canvas for its versatility. It allows me to create bright images that pop out and at the same time gives room for softness and drama.
