ABOUT THE ARTWORK
It's a gloriously vibrant water lily , with creamy colors and almost infinite deepness in detail and tone. The pond encased in greenery, the lilies spread over its surface. Fluid effects and the sensation of immersion they engender, juxtaposing water, reflections, swaying lily clusters, the sinuous contours of the pond to produce subtle gradations of color. Horizontal mirror of the pond is covered with the waterlily clusters appearing to blend with it. Covering the canvas from top to bottom, colored areas of reflections and the waterlilies occupying this neutral expanse. A painting without edges, a liquid surface, a mirror without a frame. A miniature floating world comprises islands of sparkling lilies mingled with reflections of sky. A Water Lily is a cheerful rendition of a lily that captures all the whimsical qualities of the flower. This flower features an array of yellow and earth tones.
