ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My 2018 oil rendition of my photo of the same year ( ) is a bit more a blend of that evening and others I was fortunate to have been able to set up and capture these early Fall nights in Vermont. The painting itself was one of half a dozen small works for SEABA's annual Art Hop in Burlington's East End. What happened before my wife and I could return to her home state, was the Pandemic. Plus with numerous unexpected surgeries since then, it wasn't until autumn of last year (2023) that we could return to Vermont! Two big surprises after the 5 years since Sheila and I were able to return - despite a full staff turnover, plus office relocation, only 2 works were missing, and one of the remaining works had sold in 2023! And that is this small night image - I count myself lucky and blessed 🙏😊 Prints on all sorts of substrates are available, here on Saatchi Art! ❤️

082124 update - My earliest memories of making art were my early school years, 1st - 3rd grade, watching colors from crayons and watercolors dance with reflections from the light across rough bumpy paper 😊 I'm still working with that fascination, alternating between smooth and rough, lines and blocks of color. It's best to say, at nearly 74 years of age, I'm finally beginning to accept I don't like doing only fields of color, or line-work, or abstract or representational. So here at Saatchi Art, I present my smorgasbord of work in differing mediums or styles - but I do think what has always persisted is - my sense of awe with life - internal, external, and mingled.
