ABOUT THE ARTWORK

In the beginning of February I had a small trip to a one of the most fabulous places - Lake Baikal, the world's largest, deepest and the oldest freshwater lake. I came with a purpose to see an ornate transparent ice, which winter Baikal is famous for. But, unfortunately, during this period, the entire surface of the lake was covered with a dense layer of snow. One day I made an attempt to cross the lake on foot, in frosty weather, -25C, without first checking the distance to the other shore. So, in a 2 hours I reached only the middle of the lake and deсided to turn back. Nevertheless, I got a lot of emotions from these snowy landscapes and fantastic sunset on my way back, which became a memory on the canvas. Materials: Oil on a stretched canvas Size: 50x70cm (~19,7"x27,6") Edges are painted as a continuation of the painting. Has a wall mount. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
