Short Art Biography, Rose Rohe is a London based artist. She does observation paintings of Londons monuments but is not limited to that. She also paints from memory e.g dreams and occassionally portraits. She describes the gift of art as something that she discovered since she was around three years. Living with her grandparents in a village in central Kenya, she would use charcoal to draw on grandmothers kitchen iron sheet. She also remembers being in Nursery and only willing to use play dough and using marking pencils. While in school, teachers would ask her to draw science pictures from a book on the board. Moving to Germany while still in primary school, she wasn't able to speak German immediately, so she spent a lot of time in language school. In her own words "I learned most of my German from Kids tv programs and from pictures". Rose moved to England in 2008 to study Art & Design in Park Lane College and later on did a degree in Interior Design with Leeds Metropolitan University. In 2010, Rose knew that painting was her calling in life. Being away from family, she found painting to be very therapeutic. She has found inspiration from the Bible, from visions and dreams. In 2015, Rose moved to London and has currently being painting historic and famous London land marks. With her own words Rose says, " it is quite exciting to live and paint in this great city. Not only do I learn so much about the history of this city but I also meet beautiful people from all over the World. It is a privilege to live in this historic city.
