ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This piece deals with the tragic that was Hurricane Katrina. The sorrow and angry felt by the people of New Orleans as they had to leave everything behind. Being from Houston, I seen a large influx of people come seek shelter here. A lot of them chose to stay in Houston for new beginnings but never forgetting the tragic that befell them. What I enjoy most about this work is how I rendered the eyes and the emotion seen within them. The title is from songs by Led Zeppelin and Public Enemy, respectfully.
