ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted this canvas in 2000, during my first years living in the countryside. This painting is an ode to simple life, the pot is white and round, in a daylight that passes through a window, as in a Dutch painting. However a lot of things happen in the lights: a swirl of colors plays in the reflections of this pot, and the range of colors between the ocher tablecloth and the blue-gray background is vibrant.
