I grew up in New York City. My whole life was centered around playing baseball. I grew up just with my mom and my brother and sister. We did not have much money at all. I played stickball from sunup to sundown. I garnered a reputation in the schoolyards and by the time I was in junior high I started to really play. My talent progressed and people noticed. I got quite a reputation in high school and was eventually drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the first round. I was the 11th pick in the country. I ended up playing professional baseball for the Detroit Tigers, the New York Yankees, and the Houston Astros. While I was no superstar there are some legendary tales about how I play. I had never taken an art class except for one of those shotgun art classes in seventh grade in junior high school. I was fascinated by the watercolors. After I moved out to California around 1980, I bought an introductory set of watercolors and books. From there is where I learned how to paint. Also, I’m colorblind. I am fascinated by watercolors and put everything I have into it. My paintings are a reflection of my feelings and energy. I hope you enjoy them. Each of them has a story
