ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work is part of the series Contemplating nature. It's inspired by the moments which I immerse myself in nature. The intent is to capture the essence, the perceived energy, the connection. A windy day mess up hair, brings us wild perfumes, different sounds and accompanies sinuous movements. Our energy field also cleans up with wind presence. The painting has acrylic and oil colors, plus various layers of acrylic gesso which make the surface of the canvas rough, material and with high reliefs.

Manuela Mirai lives and works in Sardinia, Italy. Her artistic research is focused on studies of color, matter and space. She is inspired by the nature of the place where she was born, and through her work she investigates the relationship between human being, nature and divine. In 2019, she completed her Bachelor Degree in painting and Visual Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari. She has taken part in several exhibitions, including the Cà Pesaro Gallery in Venice, the Giorgio Amendola Foundation in Turin, the Museum in Sassari and the Gavino Ballero Theatre in Alghero. Manuela works mainly with painting, drawing and textiles.
