Wine Paper Blue Print

This is an abstract piece painted on what I call Wine Paper (the paperboard used in cases of wine). I used this for its ability to hold a great deal of paint, its texture, and to reduce what I send to the landfill. Upcycled art has many appearances and I want this Wine Paper collection to demonstrate the possibilities of using alternative mediums and styles. The style is inspired by Aboriginal dot painting and movement. Additionally, I have placed this piece in a refurbished wooden frame. The original is marker, paint, and acrylic marker on paperboard. The use of an indigo background with orange, yellow, green, red, teal, peach, and white dots is a different pallet than its inspiration. This is a piece that will bring cool and flowing thoughts to my viewers.
