ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Winston Churchill was known as a hero during WW2 for his bravery in fighting the Nazis but not many know he also won a Nobel Prize in Literature and was a prolific painter. A true renaissance man and inspiration. With this portrait I wanted to honor his legacy in a contemporary style on a larger than life scale on a huge canvas. I started this portrait by sketching first in pencil, then ink, and lastly in acrylic paint.
