About The Artwork
I was walking through the woods nearby, my home in Long Island, as the sun began to set in the later afternoon, during the early days of the pandemic. It was a chaotic time for much of the world, but in this moment I felt at ease, there was a calmness and serenity to be found in nature. I lost my husband during that dark time, but in someways, the pandemic helped, restore our collective souls and allowed a lucky few of us to experience a tranquility that can only be found in nature.
