Ting is a visual artist based in London. Collage and assemblage run through Ting's multi-disciplinary practice. For her painting and image work, that is located between figuration and abstraction, she draws on memories and the unconscious in equal parts. These ephemeral materials marinate for some time before they come together in painterly compositions and collage. The chaos from which Ting creates, includes chemical reactions, natural processes and the technical precision of mathematical formulas. Minimalist in its nature, yet open to accidents, her work aims to create intimate relationships with the viewer by drawing attention to the gap between our collective unconscious and the everyday. She has since undertaken a multitude of projects with different artists in a variety of media and regularly exhibited in London, Berlin, Riga and Taipei.
