About The Artwork
Acrylic on gesso primed MDF (50x50 cm) from 2022 Slowly, the World Wide Web is networking everything. Already it must have networked us, people. We can already see that we cannot exist without it: our work, our lives, and yes, online sales are an integral part of it. Also, the profile of our favorite animals has appeared on social media. I toyed with the idea of networking nature as well. Or is it already networked? Think of mushroom yarns ... This is how these abstract organic forms are born from my unconscious and my very strong and often dominant rational self gives meaning and lifts them from total abstraction. This creative process is facilitated by the fact that I make my acrylic paintings basically with translucent, translucent colors using the glazing technique. The painting is coated with clear acrylic varnish for protection. The MDF panel is mounted on a frame. Ready to hang! This work will be delivered with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity. I ship this work in cardboard boxes carefully wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard. If you like my paintings you can have a piece of art for your beloved place.

„I show the details instead of the whole, sort of inviting the viewer to embrace and understand their surroundings” Dora Stork was selected artist in the London Art Biennale in 2023, an award-winning Hungarian painter whose art has appeared in solo and group exhibitions in the UK, Hungary, and Romania. Her work can also be found in many private collections in the United States, the European Union, and Japan. Dora is an abstract realistic encaustic artist: abstract in the world of color, realistic in the world of form, and symbolist in meaning. As a politically minded painter, she is interested in public life as well as social and economic processes. She presents her particular vision in these works. The dreamlike compositions are her intuitive reflections on public issues. At the same time, seemingly astonishing, strange circumstances and inappropriate details on a rational sphere might evoke questions in the viewer. She mainly uses pure wax and pigments to make her paintings. Over the years, she has developed a medium that does not contain oil or any non-waxy additives. When she occasionally paints with acrylic, the characteristics of her figurative style transform into an imaginary interpretation of nature. Dora is an active, awarded member of her community and regularly takes part in their group exhibitions every year.
