About The Artwork

I made this painting when my life was stressful, and I was struggling, but I was always optimistic to hope for the best. This painting perfectly represents that feeling. The dark storm covers everything but the Sun shines and gives us hope for better times. Whenever I look at this painting I remember that I should not give up and try to be a better person every single day. I can only hope that people who see this painting will remember that wherever we are in life there are always going to be ups and downs. And we got to fight through harder times to give ourselves the chance to see the sunlight. Or if we're in a very good place in life we got to remember the journey that lead there and appreciate it. I chose this plot because it has a very strong metaphorical meaning to it and it is also beautiful as it is. It is also very diverse in the meaning on what is on the painting: we can see the little houses and the rocky beach giving us a safe place, and the seagull in the sky which is so varied in the sense of its mood. Yet the sea seems okay no matter what happens around it. Made with Love.

Hi, my name is Svetlana. I am originally from Russia, but I have been living in Europe for 20+ years now. I live in my house and I always produce my art in my own home. I love to travel with my family and my paintings often reflect the memories I had. I often get inspired by impressionist artist and modern artists. My plots are born from various experiences. Just as the grains falling into the ground do not all sprout, so the themes of life experiences do not all become a plot. I mostly paint with oil paints on canvas or cardboard. Color usually defines my work.
