ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Technique: Acrylic / tempera / oil / natural pigments. Support: Wooden support frame (0.5 cm raw dmf) prepared (hot glues). Size: 35 x35 x 3.5 cm. Framing: frame 41 x 41 x 5 cm. Signature: signed and lower left. Within the series - Contemplating the garden - this painting in a small format, the very size of the work requires me to master the compulsive feeling and large gestures of the large format. It requires me to control where the delicacy of the brushstroke is contrasted with the large lines of that large format. But this way of holding on has the charm of Subtlety and of using color in a delicate way to express what it feels like to face the empty frame, and where you feel you must fit what you want to express in order to be satisfied with what you want to do. . In the painting, you can appreciate the gesture of the image of the knotted trunk of a rose bush with drawing strokes in some somewhat realistic way, but escaping from the drawing I concentrated on the yellow color that dominated the rose bush that was inspiring me at the time in which I paint this picture.
