Contact us.Having been educated as an architect I have a certain compulsion to create things. Things and objects that elicit information, denotation, and connotation. In some senses creating tokens and symbols of my own beliefs.
Motivated by the beauty and ugliness of religion the work is prompted by experiences, introspection, and undoubtedly misconceptions about religion, existence, and God . The works make use of reference, but the imagery hasn’t yet formed an apparent subject matter. The objects themselves appear to make no bold assertions, but exhibit the uncertainty of an ethic, or the doubts of modern Christianity. Like things seen through a veil or in a distant fog they embody the desire for clarity and understanding. And while the works may not contain or explain any clearer the mysteries of God they are objects of empathy created out of a desire to rationalize, to relate, and to rectify.
