The painting portrays a Zulu teen looking straightforward in a traditional Zulu attire. The spear, shield and hat shows the characteristics of Zulu clothing. Zulu means ‘Heaven’. Zulus considered themselves as sons of heaven. They are part of the Ngoni people, whose origin is found in Central Africa. The Zulus are the first tribe in South Africa in demographic terms. It is always beautiful to see Zulus traditional attire.
